Of Being Five Months

At six months on Saturday, little 15 pound Kai is getting stronger and sweeter everyday!

He is proving to be a true Campbell- his rolling adventures have already unexpectedly lodged him under a rocking chair; a pursuit after a plastic car landed him in Cora's closet full of hard shoes with a suprise Princess Else dress entaglement, and he discovered (to his delight!) his Daddy's stinky ski gear after scooting and rolling many feet across the living room into a ski bag.

He is grabbing and holding onto anything he can before trying to eat it, so the war on little toys is full on!

Kai is communicating through bubble blowing, ear piercing squeals, giggles and grunts. He really doesn't cry too much, which I am so thankful for!

Besides rolling, he is sitting and standing with assistance, and I have a feeling he will be an early walker like Cora. His favorite game is peekaboo, and for some reason he loves it the most when he's holding onto a couch (probably because he is distracted by the game, loses his balance and falls which he thinks is hilarious).

In conjunction with being a breast feeding monster, Kai is also eating solids now a couple times a day.  He loves sweet potatoes and carrots - I'm hoping he doesn't turn orange like his daddy did from eating too many carrots when he was a baby!

Month five of Kai's beautiful life has been incredible. He is just a dream and it keeps getting better. Such a lucky momma!
