Kai Man!

The last few weeks have been exhausting (thus the lack of new posts), but we feel incredibly blessed because mellow, sweet Kai is such an awesome little dude and a perfect addition to our family.

At seven weeks today, Kai's favorite activities are playing in his jungle, hiking (and generally being carried around everywhere, including at home) in his front baby carrier, wigging around, snuggling heads with his sister, making loud owl squeaks all night long, eating, sleeping and endlessly absorbing lights, colors, shadows and sounds.

Kai doesn't have another doctor appointment for a couple more weeks, but we bet he weighs about 10  or 11 pounds and is about 23 inches long. He has the most delicious squishy cheeks and the biggest blue eyes, just like his sister!

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the last few weeks:

Night time snuggles. Cora took this one while she was up "helping."

Perhaps someday Kai will call Idaho "home"!

My parents have been the greatest help in the world. We've been visiting them often and my mom comes to help about every week for a few days at a time, which has been so special, and unbelievably helpful. We love them so!

Cora is my best little helper and loves her brother.

First smile!

Possibly my favorite photo of him yet. Little cuttle bug.

Kai LOVES hiking, which is good because he will be doing a lot of it in his life!
Of all the mountain views, Kai likes this one best.

Feisty fox!

Aunt Marisa came to visit!

Yay Mike!

Morning couch snuggles.

Tired family nap time pile!
